Photo Engraving
Laser engraving is a great way to keep a photo forever. With a laser engraving, an image can be permanently burned into most any medium. Wood, plastics, glass, and many other items. Wood is always a very nice choice due to the ability to get a true three dimensional look. Any photo is a great candidate to be engraved, although some photos do turn out much better than others. Ideally the photos that work best have a dpi of 300 or more. This allows for the most clarity. When engraving, some of the details of the photos have to be removed so that the image is not engraved in a way that everything appears blurry. Glass is also a very nice product to engrave on. When a light source is shined on flat glass, the engraving looks even more spectacular. Flat glass photos in our custom stands can make very nice additions to a bookshelf. They can make great gifts or even beautify your own decor. There are specially designed plastics used in laser engraving. Due to the toxic properties of plastics, many traditional plastics cannot be laser engraved. Some metals can also be engraved or marked with a laser engraving machine. Raw metals can be marked with select permanent colors and metals such as anodized aluminum can be engraved. As you can see, there are many different options for laser engraving, The ideas are endless. We enjoy seeing all of the new photos and ideas that our clients send to us.
