Metal Engravings

Engravings and markings on metal are becoming more and more common.  Many people never even realize the types of items that were done with a laser.  For anyone that has seen a stainless steel light switch cover with the on and off done in a permanent black color, you have just seen something that was probably done with a laser.  Pictures that are on stainless steel auto fixtures such as wiper knobs and headlight pulls are done with lasers.  The photo above is from the end cap of a Maglight.  The details are amazing.  Aside from the glare from the flash, the cuffs are so detailed that it looks as though you could unlock them with the key.  The details in the gun are also just as graphic. We do many engravings on flashlights for emergency services and other professional service providers.  We have supplied lights for scouting troops with contact information in case a child becomes lost.  We have many possibilities for the lights, so contact us via our website at http://www.chamberslaserimpressions.com/
Probably the hardest part about engraving metal, is the fact that metal mostly provides only a one dimensional medium to work with.  When working with raw metal, we have a special product that allows us to leave a permanent black mark on the metal.  This product, when applied correctly is not able to be removed.  When dealing with painted metal or anodized aluminum, we are able to actually engrave through the coating that is on the surface.  Working with anodized aluminum leaves a nice white coloring.  This color sometimes appears to have a silver color.
We would love to hear ideas about other possibilities on metal surfaces.  We have done a few paintball cannons and  plan on looking into doing some paintball guns.  We just have to fine tune everything so it is as perfect as possible.  If you have any we can practice on then that would be wonderful.  Let us know about your ideas at http://www.chamberslaserimpressions.com/ or email us at chamberslaserimpressions@gmail.com .
Follow us on this blog, and we will be sure to add as many new things and ideas that we can.
